We founded HEAL Academy with a shared aspiration to make this world a better place for women and mothers.
Our goal is to train professionals who possess knowledge, heart, and soul, who act out of a true sense of mission to heal childhood from its roots. We aim to train nothing less than excellent professionals who hold a broad, holistic, and nurturing perspective, leading the change in both the discourse and the field.
We believe that when a mother feels secure in her body and her voice, children grow up in a world where tenderness is not a weakness, but a strength.
This is the change we want to see in the world, a place where both mother and child can be exactly who they are within a supportive, evidence-based framework.
For the professionals themselves, our courses provide better earning potential, equipped with certifications in: Lactation Consulting, Sleep Consulting, Potty Training, Postpartum Doula and Parent Coaching.
I am Maya Dubinsky, a mother of three, an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), a Doula and Postpartum Doula, and a sleep consultant specializing in a holistic, attachment-based approach. Throughout my years of work as a lactation consultant at Ichilov Hospital, UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester, MA, and in private practice, I have met thousands of families and helped them achieve calm and confident parenting.
I fell in love with breastfeeding while nursing my eldest daughter, Tamar, who is now 15. A wonderful lactation consultant came to my home and helped me refine my breastfeeding technique, making it comfortable and transforming my early months of motherhood into a calm and enjoyable experience. From that point, it was a natural step into lactation studies and eventually becoming a certified IBCLC.
Over the past fifteen years, I have assisted thousands of families, but my path also led me deep into the study of evolutionary parenting. I became fascinated by the biological and anthropological roots of the mother-infant bond, recognizing that our modern world often clashes with our ancient, biological needs. By bridging the gap between evidence-based science and our evolutionary instincts, I help parents move away from rigid, industrial-age expectations and return to a way of nurturing that honors the biological blueprint of the child. Today, I combine this deep understanding of human biology with clinical expertise to support parents in creating a home environment where connection, responsiveness, and peace can truly thrive.
I am Rita Missiuk- a criminal defense attorney, raised in a military boarding school where I learned from a young age to be strong, precise, and responsible, always putting emotion second.
For years, I lived in a world that spoke the language of commands, boundaries, and emotional armor. Later I practiced criminal law, where I learned to fight for justice, but also saw firsthand the profound pain hidden behind people’s stories.
And then, my children were born. They taught me everything no university ever could: how to love and surrender without limits, how to listen without defensiveness, and how to feel without fear.
Motherhood was an awakening for me, a journey of deconstruction and rebuilding: from the law to the lack of control, from the head to the heart, and from protection to connection.
During my undergraduate studies, I focused on biology. Since then, I have completed certifications in sleep, breastfeeding, potty training, Montessori, doula work, and attachment-based parent coaching. I have woven all this knowledge into a single holistic vision:
An attachment-evolutionary approach that views the human experience through the lens of nature, believing that inner security is born from connection, not control.
